Lung Walk, Sioux Falls
Lung Walk, Sioux Falls / Saturday, April 10, 2010 / Empire Mall
Our Lung Walk for 2010 is now completed. We are still receiving donations so we don't have a final total as of yet. We have raised over $20,000 so far and had over 110 walkers with us on April 10th. Thanks to all the people who walked, formed teams and made donations! We deeply appreciate your commitment to the American Lung Association in South Dakota
Our tentative date for 2011 is Saturday, April 2nd. If you would like to be part of our planning committee please email events@lungsd.org or call us at 605-336-7222. Please visit our website for more information on our events and programs throughout the year: www.lungsd.org.
In South Dakota over 100,000 adults and children have lung disease and this includes over 18,000 kids with asthma. The American Lung Association's mission is to save lives by preventing lung disease and promoting lung health. We must do all we can to stop lung disease. Every year, more than 400,000 Americans die of lung disease. Lung disease is America's number three killer, responsible for one in six deaths.
We need your help to make an impact in the fight against lung disease. Join our Lung Walk today! We know a lot about lung disease, but there is so much more to learn. Your participation will raise the funds necessary to provide life saving education, research and advocacy so we can beat lung disease and soon find a cure.
